Summarize the thoughts below in a crisp way
"On our leadership journeys, we may encounter injustice or suffering that conflicts with our values. As purpose-driven leaders, can you share an experience you faced that still disturbs you? Perhaps you were discriminated against based on part of your identity, silencing your voice as a leader. Or you watched as opportunities were denied to you or your community based on prejudice and bias. Maybe you experienced a personal crisis that tested your will to lead and serve others. Or, witnesssed someothing happening in your environment that you don't approve of. Sharing an injustice you witnessed or underwent yourself that opposes your ethics can connect us to our shared goals.
Many things you understand so early... So many things you get to know so late... it's okay!!!
This is what I think.
I work closely with top management. These were some of my observations in my business level not the organisational level.
It is just personal It is right or not , I am somehow not convinced till now I was given a role and I overcame many challenges and created milestones But somehow management was not convinced with the challenges and expected minimum 2 times the speed However since expectation’s was high I could spend time for self development and has become more result oriented. So it has helped in a way to me.
My first thought was that I am unable to sustain the program with Josh I started with. I will be taking steps towards working on it
At work- 1. People working sincerely and not involving in politics are given more work, delayed pay raise 2.Upline managers talking but not walking the talk. Bias & favouritism to select group At home
There have been moments in my life where I had to suffer injustice which was also very painful at times but I then would surrender everything to the Almighty Father and then I was able to let go of these painful moments & liberate myself from unnecessary burdens and worries.
*There are challenges to working in a Govt/Semi-Govt setup where it is not uncommon to deny elevation to a deserving candidate or to elevate a undeserving candidate on considerations of personal affinity, strong connections with higher ups, seniority etc. *It’s disturbing at times because when you favour an undeserving candidate over a more deserving one, you do not demotivate just one person, but a whole lot of other dedicated professionals who think they may face the same fate. *There are no carrots available to motivate a hard working employee or any sticks to punish a hardly working employee. *So, the challenge is to accept the situation and keep yourself and your team motivated based on your self-satisfaction for efficient working and enjoying the learning process while dedicatedly working to the best of your abilities.
I have been working as a leader in two or three organizations for about twenty years. Such incidents come many times in my life, where we have to live with some political people and their behaviour, their hypocrisy harms me. In many places you are not tolerated as a woman leader and due to this behavior.
let me tell you a real life story....
I had to resign from a social organisation.. .due to my higher post I had to face opposition in many places. Because Which happened for the first time in the history of that organization. My action was opposed. But I was not wrong, so people had to bow down.
Due to my resignation, many people along with me had to face difficulties. They were jealous of how a woman is progressing. But I took it as a challenge and ultimately to the people in front had to bow down.
Because it was a matter of respect for women, it was necessary for me as a leader to take action. Even if it caused harm to me, many things improved after that action.
